The Art of Mastering. Mastering is an art but you need to make sure that the mix you did is just right otherwise you can lose a lot of money in the mastering process just trying to fix problems. It's important to have headroom in you mix this means nothing to loud and no distortion and the levels should leave just enough room at the top so don't mix your track in the red zone on the VU meters. There are so many things I need to tell you and so many problems people make for themselves by just doing to much. One example is when ever I see someone mix a track and the client or artist says turn up the bass or turn up the drums or make my vocal louder the guy at the mixing board does. That's not what engineers do we normally look at all the levels and then we turn everything else down that way we leave headroom in the mix. this DVD is full of that kind of info to help you get your track ready for the mastering process. Now once you get in the mastering mode or go to a very good mastering house this DVD will school you on how it works and what to watch out for because we've seen it all and we can help you get there and understand what you need to do to get it radio ready. That's what the mastering process is for the, RADIO, and RECORDS for the whole world to hear.
