First of all the manual said, page 14, that it came with a compact flash card but it didn't, we had to call AKAI to get it, when we emailed Akai they said it was a mistake in the manual. When we got the memory there were no instructions and found out if you put it in the wrong way you will smell something burning so watch out. We noticed that if you leave it on for a long time the upper right hand side of the display will cause the blue background color to fade so watch it. This DVD starts off with the front, we explain how the buttons, pads, knobs, and sliders, work with the software to give you a better understanding of how to get around. We set up the back with the right cables, next we show you how to install the memory card, and DVD rom drive.After we set it up we start to sample and explain every feature there is in the sampling menu.They have a new feature which is called SNAP0, it allows you to move your start and end values to the nearest point where the next 0 crossing is, it works and it helps you get the right sample size. We cover everything including Time Stretching, Chop Shop, Patched Phrase, sliced sample to a program and much more.
